1. Authenticity
Q: Are the fossils and minerals genuine?
A: Yes. Every specimen in our collection is deemed natural and unaltered to the absolute best of our knowledge, unless stated explicitly otherwise. We source legally from trusted suppliers or acquired before export restrictions, from old private collections with provenance. We pride ourselves in sourcing items that we would own and display ourselves, authenticity is paramount.
2. Provenance
Q: Where do your fossils and minerals come from?
A: We provide provenance whenever possible. Many specimens come from renowned formations around the world. Full details of geographical location are provided with the item when available.
3. Geological Age
Q: How old are these fossils?
A: Each item is labeled with its geological formation and approximate age, ranging from the Carboniferous, through to Pleistocene, depending on the specimen.
4. Rarity & Value
Q: Are these items rare?
A: While we offer a selection of items that cater to various budgets, many of our specimens are extremely rare in private collections.
5. Display & Handling
Q: Can these specimens be displayed at home or in a museum?
A: Yes. Many specimens available are considered display and even museum quality, suitable for display on stands, in cabinets, or in curated collections. We do have display ready items available, and upon request- we can provide a custom display service for your chosen product for a small fee.
6. Not-for-Sale Items
Q: Are all items for sale?
A: No. Some specimens are part of our private collection (as seen in 'the museum') and are listed for display purposes only. They illustrate the type of premium material we curate and preserve.
7. Certification & Documentation
Q: Do your fossils come with certificates?
A: Where applicable, or upon request, we provide Collectors Cabin Certificates of Authenticity (COA). Each COA includes:
-Specimen name, type and dimensions
-Origin / formation and geological age
-Provenance and acquisition details
-Authentication statement signed by Collectors Cabin

8. Shipping
Q: How are items shipped?
A: All items are carefully packaged with high quality packaging, using recycled material where possible to benefit the environment. Shipping options depend on size of the item and destination location, high-value pieces may require courier & insured delivery.
All individual items in the 'pocket money fossils' section have free UK postage- along with all orders over £200.
