This magnificent amethyst slab from Brazil is a very impressive specimen, nearly every crystal in this piece contains fine golden-orange rutile strands, creating a delicate, shimmering network that catches the light from every angle. The contrast between the large deep violet amethyst points and the warm rutile inclusions gives the slab a unique, almost ethereal appearance. These inclusions are littered all over the cluster- in almost every point.

Rutile is a naturally occurring mineral composed primarily of titanium dioxide (TiO₂). Within host crystals such as quartz or amethyst, rutile often forms as needle-like or hair-like inclusions, creating intricate, fibrous patterns that are highly prized for their aesthetic and scientific significance.

These inclusions are the result of titanium-rich fluids entering the crystal lattice during its growth, over millions of years, and becoming trapped as the host crystal slowly formed

Preserved in its natural state, the slab reveals the intricate internal architecture of mineral inclusions captured within the raw elegance of Brazilian amethyst. A stunning display piece for collectors, crystal enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the intricate patterns nature creates over millennia.
