Formed within the gas cavities of ancient volcanic rock, this natural Brazilian amethyst point represents the gradual crystallisation of silica-rich fluids within a developing cavity over millions of years.
The specimen displays a soft lilac-purple amethyst colour, becoming relatively clear and glassy through main portions of the crystal. The amethyst point tip transitions naturally into a milky quartz base, creating a subtle boundary between the two forms of quartz.
The main crystal rises naturally from the base into a well-defined termination, giving the specimen an attractive upright form. Viewed closely, areas of good clarity reveal delicate natural inclusions within the amethyst, providing additional character and insight into its formation.
The specimen remains in its natural, unpolished state, preserving its original crystal habit, surface textures, colour transitions and internal features. A very small chip is present at the tip, but the specimen remains in excellent overall condition.
